Erie Zoo

Erie Zoo was founded in 1927 when the city received an elephant named 'Tom-boy' as a gift. Later on, in 1930, the facility relocated to its enduring location in Glenwood Park, south of downtown Erie. It now boasts 15 acres of territory and houses over 400 animals.
