The City College of New York

The City College of New York was established in 1847 in New York and is considered the oldest public research university in the United States. The institution is proud of its reputation as its graduates, who discovered polio vaccine, contributed to the Internet creation, and helped build the Panama Canal. Fun fact: it was the first institution outside Europe where Albert Einstein presented his theory of general relativity for the first time!
