Helsinki Central Station
Helsinki Central Station is the main communication hub in the heart of Finland’s capital, serving as an intersection of metro, short- and long-distance trains. Opened in 1919 and constructed by famous architect Eliel Saarinen, the station has become a national landmark, with an iconic clock tower and statues at the entrance and granite walls around. The station has been also recognized as the most beautiful station in the world, serving 240 thousand passengers a day, which also makes it one of the most visited sites in the country.
