Assembly Hall is a basketball arena in Bloomington that opened in 1971 and can host 17,222 spectators at a time. It is home for the Indiana Hoosiers men’s and women’s basketball teams, where they won 84 percent of their games. The arena has a reputation of one of the loudest in the country due to its peculiar construction. It also served as a stage for Barack Obama and Bill Gates speeches and welcomed such legends as Bob Dylan, Elvis Presley, and The Jackson Five.
