Jacksonville Zoo & Gardens is a perfect spot for an idyllic family pastime. The only zoo in the northeast region of Florida, it covers 73 acres and houses over 2000 animals and 1000 plants. You'll find a 2.5-acre area that houses white rhinoceros, marabou stork, greater kudu, east African crowned crane, and ostrich, allowing ample room for the animals to roam, as well as a boardwalk featuring an okapi and a Grevy's zebra exhibits. Plus, it is one of only seven zoos in the country to have an animal wellness team dedicated to providing the best care possible for the animals.
